About The Club
The Collingwood Flying Club is a non-profit organization formed in 1998 to enjoy and promote recreational aviation. We currently have 12 members of diverse ages, backgrounds and occupations each of whom owns an Equity Share in the Club. Our membership includes people from all walks of life and ages who share a love of flight. The club is dedicated to the spirit of aviation and provides a social and recreational environment in which members can share the fun, excitement and fellowship of general aviation.
The club currently owns a 1968 Cessna Cardinal and a hangar at the Collingwood Airport where it is kept. The club has had as many as 16 members and while there has been some turnover a number of the founding members are still active.
The membership meets monthly to discuss the business of the club, ensure that the aircraft is maintained in excellent condition and consider any activities in which the membership might get involved.
All members are also members of COPA and many participate in COPA events such as COPA for Kids.
